Overview

What is IN/OUT-SRT?

A relay service for SRT video streams. Your encoder connects in, your receiver connects out — no static IP, no network configuration required.

🌐

SRT Protocol

Secure Reliable Transport — the broadcast-grade protocol for low-latency video with built-in packet loss recovery.

🎯

Who is it for?

Studios connecting remote locations, live event producers, broadcasters needing a reliable contribution link without a static IP.

Getting Started

How do I start using IN/OUT-SRT?

Open @inoutsrt_bot on Telegram and press Start. Choose a server (Germany or USA), create a stream — you'll receive an SRT input URL. Point your encoder at it and start sending within seconds.

Which servers are available?

Two locations: Germany (de.inoutsrt.com) and USA East (usa.inoutsrt.com). Choose the one geographically closest to your source and destination.

What software can I use?

Sending: OBS Studio, vMix, Wirecast, FFmpeg, Larix Broadcaster.
Receiving: VLC, vMix, FFplay, Haivision Play, any SRT-capable decoder.

Do I need a static IP address?

No — and that's the main reason people use IN/OUT-SRT. Both the sender and receiver connect to our server in caller mode, so neither end needs a static IP. The routing is handled automatically.
Technical

What latency can I expect?

End-to-end latency is typically 200–500ms depending on the configured SRT latency value and network conditions. Significantly lower than RTMP, HLS, or video-conferencing tools.

What bitrate is supported?

Up to 50 Mbps per stream. Recommended: 5–15 Mbps for Full HD, 20–35 Mbps for 4K.

Is a passphrase required?

No, but recommended — it enables AES-128 encryption and prevents unauthorized access.

How many outputs can I add?

Multiple. Each output gets its own SRT URL and independent passphrase. Paid streams support unlimited outputs.

Does IN/OUT-SRT transcode?

No. The stream is passed through in copy mode — whatever codec you send (H.264, HEVC, AV1) is delivered unchanged. No quality loss.
Pricing & Limits

Is IN/OUT-SRT free?

Yes. 3 free streams per day, each up to 30 minutes. Both servers available, multiple outputs included.

How does the paid session work?

Pay 250 Telegram Stars (~$5) for 24 hours of continuous streaming with unlimited outputs. Payment via Telegram's built-in system. Session renewal supported.

When do free limits reset?

Every 24 hours from the time your first stream of the day was created.
